TemplateBase ("we", "us", "our") is a digital template subscription service operated from South Africa. We provide social media content templates via the website templatebase.site. By using our service, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
We collect the following information when you use TemplateBase: • Your email address and name when you create an account • Your subscription and payment status (via PayPal — we never see your card details) • Files and text you voluntarily upload to your knowledge base • OAuth tokens if you connect Notion or Google Drive • Which templates you copy, save, and how many AI fills you use • Basic usage logs for debugging and security purposes
We use your information only to provide and improve the TemplateBase service: • Your email is used to log you in, send account-related notifications, and transactional emails (confirmations, password resets) • Your uploaded content and connected integrations are used solely to power the AI fill feature — to personalise template output in your voice • We do not sell, share, or rent your personal information to any third party • We do not use your uploaded content to train AI models
When you upload files or connect Notion or Google Drive, we store your content in encrypted cloud storage to enable the AI fill feature. This content is: • Only accessible by you • Only read by the AI when you request a fill • Never shared with other users or third parties • Deleted immediately when you remove the file or disconnect the integration Notion and Google Drive connections use read-only OAuth access. We cannot write, modify, or delete anything in your connected accounts.
Payments are processed securely by PayPal. We store only your PayPal subscription ID to manage your plan status. We never store or see your credit or debit card details. PayPal's privacy policy applies to all payment transactions.
Your data is stored using Supabase, hosted on AWS infrastructure with encryption at rest and in transit. We use Row Level Security (RLS) so no user can access another user's data. We take reasonable technical measures to protect your information, but no system is 100% secure.
In accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), you have the right to: • Access the personal information we hold about you • Request correction of inaccurate information • Request deletion of your account and all associated data • Withdraw consent for processing at any time • Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa To exercise any of these rights, contact us via the link below.
We use only essential session cookies to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics.
TemplateBase is not directed at children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.
