By creating an account or using TemplateBase ("Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
TemplateBase provides a subscription-based library of original social media content templates, an AI-powered template fill feature, and a personal knowledge base — available at templatebase.site.
Subscriptions are billed monthly in USD via PayPal. Your subscription begins on the date of your first payment. You may cancel at any time from your PayPal account. Starter plan ($9.99/month): 40 templates unlock immediately, with 40 more unlocking every 30 days. Pro plan ($29.99/month): All 600 templates unlock immediately, plus AI fill (50 uses/month) and knowledge base features.
ALL SALES ARE FINAL. TemplateBase sells digital goods — specifically access to a digital template library and AI-powered features. Because digital content is delivered and accessible immediately upon purchase, we do not offer refunds under any circumstances. This applies to: • Monthly subscription charges • Any partial billing periods • AI fill credits used or unused • Accounts that have accessed templates By subscribing, you explicitly acknowledge and accept that you are purchasing immediate access to digital goods and that no refund will be issued. This is consistent with South African Consumer Protection Act Section 16 provisions for digital content.
This is important. Please read carefully. On the Starter plan, templates unlock progressively over 15 months. If you cancel your subscription, ALL unlocked templates are removed from your account immediately. You will only retain access to the 5 permanently free templates. Resubscribing does not restore your previously unlocked templates — you begin a new 15-month progression from Month 1. This mechanic is clearly disclosed before purchase and constitutes part of the product design. By subscribing to the Starter plan, you acknowledge this condition.
TemplateBase grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the templates for your own social media content creation, including for commercial purposes (your own business or clients). You may NOT: • Resell, redistribute, or sublicense the templates • Build a competing template product using our templates • Share your account credentials with others • Use the templates to create bulk AI-generated spam content
The AI fill feature uses Claude by Anthropic to generate content. Output is provided as-is. You are solely responsible for reviewing AI-generated content before publishing. TemplateBase makes no guarantee about the accuracy, appropriateness, or originality of AI output. You retain full ownership of any content you upload to your knowledge base. You grant TemplateBase a limited licence to process that content solely to provide the AI fill feature.
You agree not to use TemplateBase to generate: • Spam or mass unsolicited content • Misleading, defamatory, or fraudulent content • Content that violates any platform's terms of service • Hate speech, harassment, or harmful content We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these terms without refund.
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Scheduled maintenance, third-party outages (Supabase, Anthropic, PayPal), or unforeseen issues may cause temporary downtime. We are not liable for losses arising from service interruptions.
To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, TemplateBase and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid in the 30 days prior to the claim.
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify active subscribers via email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
